Flexhook mounted in a fuselage. |
In this version the Hall Effect device has been moved forward onto the L-bracket and the lever carrying the magnet has been lengthened to match. Unlatch force is set at 7 kg. You can now see how the OLA lever magnet moves vertically past a Hall Effect sensor. There are several reasons for these changes:
The L-bracket is secured to the wing mount using one single steel M3 screw so the complete hook can be removed in seconds. The hook moves only 2 mm between its Straight and Circle tow positions. A leaf spring, taken from an old Tomy timer, is mounted in the orange main part of the hook to push it back when the line is slack.
