Massimo Ursicino has started to sell a six function Sidus F1B timer with RCDT as a standard feature.
Functions are operated by a single servo which is stepped to release levers. The levers are mounted on a lightweight carbon face plate. The servo shaft is parallel to the arm pivots, so the loads they impose on the servo are applied in the same direction as control loads are in an RC model.
This timer has a special pocket-sized control unit which doubles as the RCDT transmitter and uses an optical (IR) link for programming the timer.
Both timer and control unit use single cell Li-poly batteries and are supplied with a simple two wire charger. The timer incorporates a DC-DC converter with 5v regulated output to run the servo at optimum torque and speed.
