Electronic timers have been available for the F1Q electric free flight class almost since it was announced, notably the Black Magic timer developed by Roger Morell, who pioneered the development of extremely light weight multi-function timers. Since then a variety of timers with varying capabilities have appeared that are suitable for use in almost any electric free flight model.
